Happy Australia day π¦πΊ to our campers and followers here at Nelia Gaari Station. We hope everyone is kicking back, enjoying the long weekendend π€
This looks like a bit of fun. The Darling River Run pub crawl. π»π€ π Historical #PubSpot | The Welcome Inn/East Toorale Hotel – The River Run Route.
East Toorale on the other side of the river from the famous Toorale Station was home to no fewer than four different βsigns of the houseβ over a period spanning some five decades. As well as being a convenient wayside stop for travellers between Bourke and Louth, the hotels at East Toorale derived much business from the shearers, roustabouts and drovers of Toorale, the original station homestead and shearing shed were located just a few kilometres away across the Darling River.
The #PubRoute connects travellers to the history and stories of the forgotten βpub spotsβ that shaped the west.
Although many of these pubs no longer exist, keep an eye out for the historical markers which indicate the approximate locations of these pioneering hotels. You’ll find them located between each PubSTOP along the 8 ROUTES and are a great conversation starter at the pub.

Situated on the West side of the Darling River between #Menindee & #Wilcannia, Nelia Gaari Station is a sheep grazing property that offers a unique and welcoming spot to park your Caravan, Campervan or Four-wheel Drive for short or extended stays. Go boating, fishing, yabbying or exploring, play a round of golf, or just kick back around the campfire.
Your hosts Lily & Greg invite you to share their beautiful stretch of the Darling River on the #DarlingRiverRun.

Wishing ewe a very Happy New Year from our mob at Nelia Gaari Station. Look forward to another year of hosting campers and sharing our piece of heaven. Hope the hangovers are minimal and you have a fantastic year ahead.
Hi everyone, our phone reception has been out since last Friday and at this stage the only phone number you can contact Nelia Gaari on is mobile 0410031481. I would have posted this info a few days ago but we were out back of the property doing sheep work since Friday and had absolutely no coverage at all. The Telstra upgrade from 3G to 4G is working really well out here.π‘but on the bright side the Telstra guy told Greg that his tic toc should work much better, I can’t repeat Greg’s response. The only tic toc Greg is interested in is the one on his wrist.π€£ … See MoreSee Less
